John Westcott

John has been a licensed massage therapist for seven years. He was prompted to begin his teacher training after experiencing the benefits of even a basic yoga practice for himself, he felt many of his clients could benefit from the balance of strength and flexibility yoga provides. John's style of yoga is geared toward gaining greater strength and flexibility through strengthening the muscle in a lengthened position as well as focus on the core muscles and protecting the back. In this way, students can achieve greater body awareness and postural alignment as well as strengthening and supporting joints promoting greater wellness and quality of life. His technique is a hatha blend of styles.

John's basic philosophy of yoga is to have fun and be thankful for the opportunity to share what he's learned as well as share in the joy of being part of a class.
