Courtnay Meletta
Courtnay's love for yoga goes way beyond the mat. She received her 200-hour certification from Kripalu in 2003. Since then she has studied with master teachers all over the world and considers herself a modern-day hybrid yoga teacher. In 2010, she joined the non-profit Off the Mat, Into the World (OTM) by participating in the fundraising Global Seva Challenge. Courtnay exceeded the goal of $20,000 in a matter of months and traveled to Africa with her teachers to practice Seva (selfless service) and learned how to sustainably integrate yoga and activism.
Courtnay is in the process of completing her 300-hour Advanced Prana Flow Teacher Training with Coral Brown in Rhode Island. A graduate student in Holistic Counseling, Courtnay believes yoga creates the space for us to emotionally heal our deepest limiting beliefs. Her classes are infused with a healthy balance of body/mind/spirit and a large amount of space to find your individual rhythm. She stresses authenticity and reverence towards self and believes we should bear witness and celebrate the creativity and wisdom we each embody. She is grateful to her many teachers over the years, namely Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Coral Brown, Suzanne Sterling, Kerri Kelly, Kathryn Budig and Kevin Courtney. Courtnay is in constant awe of the practice, her teachers, her students, and all of the gifts and lessons life offers to her daily.
Courtnay is participating in the Global Seva Challenge India with Off the Mat and Into the World. Please support her by clicking here, going to the Global Seva India and selecting Courtnay's Name and making your donation.
