Charlene Pratt

Charlene Pratt began practicing hatha yoga and meditation in 2008 in Providence, Rhode Island as a means for mental healing and self-love. Throughout her years of practice, Charlene has been touched by many forms of yoga and meditation including restorative, Kripalu, Bikram, Baptiste, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Anusara, Yin, walking/ eating/ guided/ mantra meditation, chanting, and pranayama breathing.

After experiencing the transformative power of yoga, she sought out a deeper understanding of the practice and completed her first teacher training with Tamsy Markham, becoming a 200-hour certified yoga instructor in Baptise-style power yoga in July of 2014. Since becoming certified, Charlene has taught a variety a classes and workshops (even at this studio) including restorative, slow flow, power vinyasa, balance workshops, yin, and yoga for back-pain. She spent last year in Hawaii, where she deepened her yoga practice and received training in Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep). Charlene strives to practice yoga in all aspects of her life and has a strong belief in making yoga available to everyone. Charlene is grateful to be back in Rhode Island, sharing her love of yoga with the Bristol Yoga community.
